Norfolk Vet Products Joins Movora, Expanding Our Surgical Range Into Soft Tissue
The Chicago company behind vascular access ports and implants for long-term veterinary care is joining Movora — bringing soft tissue surgery into a portfolio built on orthopedics.
Norfolk Vet Products, the Chicago manufacturer of implants and consumables for veterinary soft tissue surgery, is joining Movora. Vimian Group AB signed the agreement on 21 October 2026, and made it official upon closing 2 November 2026.
For anyone who has placed a vascular access port in a patient facing months of treatment, the name will already be familiar. Norfolk has been making these products since 1981, out of its own facility, and selling them directly to clinics across the US and through distribution partners in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Key Facts
- Norfolk Vet Products, a US manufacturer of veterinary soft tissue surgery implants and consumables, is joining Movora.
- Norfolk was founded in 1981 in Chicago, Illinois, and has been family-owned since.
- Its range covers vascular access ports and implantable products for urinary, pulmonary and fluid-management procedures.
Who is Norfolk Vet Products?
Norfolk Vet Products — legally Norfolk Medical Products, Inc. — is a family-owned business founded in Chicago in 1981. It has become one of the leading veterinary-specific providers of soft tissue surgery products, with a particular focus on implantable solutions for long-term and chronic interventions.
The range covers vascular access ports alongside products for urinary, pulmonary and fluid-management procedures. These are the cases where a patient needs repeated access over weeks or months, and where the quality of the implant has a direct bearing on how manageable that treatment is for the clinic and how tolerable it is for the animal. Their key product is the SUB (SUB 3.0 – Norfolk Vet Products) - Subcutaneous Ureteral ByPass System, that is mainly used for cats to bypass ureteral obstructions leading to better outcomes for feline patients.
Norfolk manufactures everything in its own facility. It has also built its business around teaching — working closely with leading specialists to train veterinarians in the procedures its products support.
What does this add to the Movora portfolio?
Movora is the largest veterinary surgical and orthopedic company in the world, with products across the full surgical patient journey — diagnosis, preparation, treatment and healing.
Soft tissue is new ground. Orthopedics, imaging, instruments and power, surgical consumables and wound management have been the primary areas Movora covers. Norfolk adds expanded solution coverage, and it is one that sits naturally beside the others: the same surgeons, the same surgical suites and theatres, often the same patients at a different point in their care.
There is little overlap with what Movora already sells, which means this is an addition rather than a consolidation. Nothing is being replaced. However you will still need to get your trusted Norfolk Vet Products at Norfolk or any number of their global distribution partners.
For the foreseeable future these two companies will run independently.
Why soft tissue surgery, and why now?
The two businesses have known each other a long time. Norfolk has been a close partner of Vimian MedTech for years, which is a large part of why this works — there is no introduction phase, and no learning curve on either side about how the other operates.
Jordan Dalton, owner and President of Norfolk Vet Products, put it this way: "We have been close partners of Vimian’s MedTech segment for many years with commercial relationships in France and Australia/New Zealand. Joining Vimian is the natural next step in bringing our products to more specialists and patients around the world and help improve animal health."
What happens to education and training?
It grows. Training sits at the center of how Norfolk operates — its products are taught, not just shipped, in close collaboration with leading specialists.
That matches how Movora works. Movora runs four training facilities and more than 150 workshops a year, reaching 1,000's of veterinary professionals annually. Bringing Norfolk’s soft tissue expertise into that program means more courses covering more treatment procedures in the patient journey.
